Welcome to Mercer Island

A secluded island on Lake Washington with custom homes and beautiful views

This peaceful and secluded island sits in the middle of Lake Washington near the major cities of Seattle and Bellevue. Named after Judge Thomas Mercer in the late 1800s, who was one of three brothers that settled in the area at the time, this town is full of all the quiet charm you could ever ask for. It wasn’t until the 1940s when the bridge to Seattle was built, that it began growing in population and has continued to grow and blossom ever since. The surrounding water and its amenities are only a portion of what this town has to offer, with an abundance of parks and outdoor recreational areas to enjoy on the island. If you’re looking for exceptional views and a peaceful and quiet area to live in with easy commuting, look no further than Mercer Island.

The neighborhoods that make up Mercer Island are all unique and offer their own touch of island history, whether it’s a historic building or the history that is part of the area. You’ll find an assortment of homes that take up the middle of the island, which include beautiful, tree-lined streets and shaded parks mixed in with traditional ranches, contemporary, and craftsman homes. There is also an assortment of lakefront neighborhoods that offer everything from smaller cottages to luxurious custom-built homes with panoramic views. Still, some areas of the island remain secluded and provide residents a chance to enjoy a peaceful slice of paradise away from the bustling town center.
